Del Norte Mission Possible operates a Navigation Center at 725 Elk Valley Road, which also serves as our headquarters and the central access point for all DNMP programs (outside of mobile outreach).
Our Navigation Center provides a welcoming space where individuals experiencing homelessness can access the support they need to move forward — all in one location.
In partnership with local government agencies and nonprofit organizations, we help individuals navigate systems of care, overcome barriers, and access essential services, including:
Our team walks alongside each participant to help set goals, build trust, and take meaningful next steps toward stability. Whether someone is in crisis or simply needs direction, the Navigation Center is a hub of connection, compassion, and hope.
We believe in meeting people where they are — both in spirit and in service — with dignity, respect, and consistent support.

We’d be happy to answer your questions and help you take the next step toward stability and self-sufficiency.
Who We Serve:
Mission Possible Home provides transitional housing for up to five women at a time, beginning with two participants as we build a strong foundation.
Our focus is on:
Women experiencing homelessness who are low-risk
Those who are open to support, learning, and engaging in relationship-based case management
What We Offer:
Our three-month residential program offers a supportive, healing environment rooted in dignity and whole-person care. Each participant works closely with a case manager to set and achieve personalized weekly goals. Extensions may be considered for those actively working toward housing or other major life goals.
Program highlights include:
A structured savings plan: participants contribute 60% of their income to savings, a proven model adopted from Rogue Retreat to promote stability and self-worth
Daily responsibilities such as cooking, cleaning, and gardening to build life skills and community
Regular goal-setting, coaching, and mentoring
Workshops and volunteer-led activities focused on art, health, exercise, and personal development
We believe in restoring a sense of value and agency to each woman we serve.
Success is not just surviving — it's thriving. Some program graduates may even choose to give back by becoming peer mentors or house supporters.
Our Community Approach:
Mission Possible Home is supported by a dedicated team of women volunteers who provide overnight supervision, mentoring, and encouragement. This volunteer network brings professional experience, compassion, and a deep commitment to the success of each resident.
In addition to transitional housing, the home may occasionally be used for short-term emergency stays to help keep women safe while they await services or critical appointments.
We are grateful for the support of community partners including:
DNATL Community Food Council – supporting access to healthy food
Permaculture Guild – helping us install raised garden beds for nourishment and therapy
Social Services, Behavioral Health, Open Door Clinic, Sutter Coast Hospital, and HUD – connecting residents with long-term supports
Together, we are creating a strong circle of support for women in Del Norte County—one step, one relationship, and one home at a time.

Please arrive early — shower spots fill up quickly!
In 2019, at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Del Norte Mission Possible (DNMP) was honored to step in and meet an urgent need for community showers. When local public facilities and church-based programs shut down, many in our community — including unhoused individuals and disabled seniors — were left without access to basic hygiene.
Partnering with Del Norte County Social Services, we began with modest resources: the county covered basic supplies and a motel room where people could safely shower. What started with 15–22 participants soon became something much bigger.
We discovered that the need extended beyond the homeless community. Seniors and people with disabilities, especially those unable to step into bathtubs, relied on this service for health, dignity, and connection. The program became a lifeline — and a starting point for deeper engagement.
A Growing Network of Support
As word spread, so did support. Clothing donations, food from local businesses, and a network of volunteers poured in. The showers became a safe, welcoming space where people were seen, valued, and connected to critical services.
When the original motel was sold, we relocated to the old recreation building — and the momentum continued. The Community Shower Outreach evolved into a trusted gathering place, where multiple agencies could meet people where they were and offer help without judgment.
We’re proud to work alongside partners like:
In June 2021, the Del Norte Senior Center formally launched the mobile shower program, now known as Community Shower Outreach. DNMP continues to provide hospitality, supplies, and case management, but we’re just one part of the collaborative effort that brings this service to life.

Community-Led Trash Cleanup
Thousands of Pounds Removed — and More Every Week
Del Norte Mission Possible continues to support regular cleanup efforts led by members of our unhoused community. These efforts have already removed well over 7,000 pounds of trash from areas like Southbend — a powerful example of pride, responsibility, and the potential within our community.
While much of the waste collected results from illegal dumping by housed individuals, it's often the unhoused community who step up to lead the cleanup efforts. Their commitment and hard work demonstrate that lacking housing does not equate to lacking worth or purpose.
We extend our deepest thanks to DN Solid Waste and to every participant who shows up to make a difference.
These efforts are laying the groundwork for DNMP’s upcoming Clean Sweep program — a workforce development initiative that will formalize opportunities for paid training, job readiness, and community impact.
